I’m Lindsey Bourne & I’m the creative behind Sixth House Design. I started Sixth House because I believe beautiful, functional spaces support our full expression of living and being.
Your home is your sanctuary, and it serves as the foundation from which you live your entire life. However, so many of us lack the tools, ability, and/or time to create spaces that we *truly* love for ourselves. Well-designed and organized spaces make us feel grounded, joyful, and energized. Poorly-designed spaces can drag us down or make us anxious, create extra work for us, and even create shame.
I have a sincere love for designing, organizing, and re-imagining spaces for aesthetics, “feel,” and functionality/efficiency. I get an inordinate amount of joy from supporting folks in creating a vision for their spaces and helping them bring it to life. I love helping people fall in love with their spaces.
I live and work in the Bay Area, and the greater surrounding areas. In addition to my work here at Sixth House, I facilitate narrative therapy groups at San Quentin for incarcerated veterans that have PTSD, I play clawhammer banjo, and I’m in graduate school to become a somatic/trauma therapist.
